This 6" Wagner/Mahler Triangle was created by Alan Abel (former Associate Principal Percussionist of the Philadelphia Orchestra) and is designed to provide a heavier, darker sound appropriate for the works of Mahler, Wagner, and other Germanic composers.
The AA3 produces crisp, clean attacks that Abel Triangle owners expect with a particular emphasis on lower overtones to create a dark, warm sound that just sounds right for moody, epic Germanic symphonic works (and anything else in the same emotional area).
