Meinl's 16" Byzance Extra Dry Dual Crash Cymbal features a raw, dark interior with a narrow blade lathed, hammered exterior. When you ride on this cymbal you can choose between the surfaces - raw for a more articulate, dry tone, and lathed to bring out more wash.
When you put some energy behind the sticks, this crash will open up with a hint of trashiness. It has an overall low-mid pitch, with short sustain. It plays well in the lower end of the volume spectrum.
