Byzance Vintage Pure cymbals are created by a process that makes the metal very flexible. Slight deformations may occur at the edge, which are within the accepted standards of this series and will not affect the sound. Slight edge deformations are not covered by Meinl's warranty.
Meinl 16" Byzance Vintage Pure Hi Hat Cymbals create a dry, direct stick sound that is crispy and articulate. Foot chicks are cutting and clear, and the overall pitch of the open sound is low.
With a medium to low volume output, these unique hats are made for more musically nuanced genres that don't create huge walls of sound.
On the larger side for hats, these 16" cymbals give you a darker, lower tone than the 14" equivalent, with more volume power.
