The 20" Byzance Jazz Big Apple Ride Cymbal is a cymbal designed to capture the heart of New York City. It pays homage to the long-standing jazz tradition in NYC and aims to be a cymbal which caters specifically to the needs of old-school jazz music.
This cymbal is designed to have a dark, complex sound with a shimmering sustain. It is a reasonably thin cymbal with a smaller bell and a distinctive, long bow which gives the cymbal a beautiful wash and a bell sound that isn't too pingy or aggressive. It is made from B20 bronze and has a narrow blade lathe.
Although this cymbal was designed specifically for "Big Apple" jazz, it can find a home in other genres as well, such as R&B, more contemporary jazz, or electronic music. No matter what, this unique cymbal will add more colors to your musical toolbox.
