The big foam pad in the middle of the Meinl Bass Beat Cajon Brush gives you strong, full bass tones when you smack it in the middle of the cajon and it won't damage the frontplate. Straight polymer bristles can provide the high backbeat smacks you'll want to fill out the groove.
The foam pad's position can be adjusted to your liking, and the o-rings holding the bristles together can be moved to make the bundle looser or tighter for different sounds.
