IP Christopher Lamb Orchestral CL-X2 Xylophone Mallets have a 1" synthetic head equipped with a little weight at the very top, giving you more volume without making the sound brighter. Categorized as medium soft, these mallets are very light in the hands.
The timbre these mallets make (not to mention the color) tend to bring out the 'novelty' flavor that the xylophone can sometimes invoke. Combine that with how fast they can move, and you might have yourself a great pair of rag mallets.
All mallets in this series have flexible rattan shafts that do not transfer any 'tick' to the sound of the bar.
