The Innovative Percussion Dan Moore Signature "Classic Vibe" Vibraphone Mallets are an extra-short mallet with an oversized head, designed based on the early days of jazz vibes when all of the projection was entirely the responsibility of they player (since microphones weren't real common).
They are excellent for playing solo literature and for, quite frankly, shredding a solo in a jam session or a performance. The oversized head also helps a lot with mallet dampening, especially in combo with the rattan shafts.
