The Remo 18" Powermax 2 Marching Bass Drum Head uses a pre-installed free floating muffling ring, just like the original Powermax, with the additional articulation, strength, and tonal focus achieved with two plies of Mylar film.
A controlled sound dot lies underneath the head in the center, which boosts everything you want in a marching bass head: more articulation, more overtone reduction, and more durability. You don't need foam strips or glue to get these heads to sound good - just a drum key and a good ear!
This head's Ultra White Crimplock color will look great against warm, bright drum finishes.
