Tama Roadpro Boom Cymbal Stand with Detachable Weight

The Tama HC84BW Roadpro Boom Cymbal Stand is a high-quality piece of equipment that's strong enough to handle big cymbals, but light enough to be viable for your weekly gigging.

Extending the boom arm too far or positioning heavy instruments between the legs can often cause your whole stand to tip over, but that whole problem is eliminated by utilizing the counterbalance rear weight! If you don't need it, you can easily just remove the weight.

The Quick-Set Tilter changes the angle of your cymbal with the friction of six smooth metal discs, rather than a toothed gear, so you can set it to precisely the right position.

The boom arm is convertible - if you don't have enough room for a boom stand, simply turn it into a straight stand by storing the boom inside the upper tube.

Glide-Tite Grip Joints between the down tubes actually use metal-to-metal contact that is extremely solid and still won't rattle. These joints totally isolate the instrument on the stand, letting it resonate as much as it can.

The double-braced tripod legs function strongly and look great, with a special angle at the bottom to increase strength and provide a little extra room for other stands' legs to cross underneath.

A steel insert nut inside the tripod base gives that joint a lot more strength than the standard method of drilling direction into the die-cast section.

This stand also comes equipped with a Quick-Set Cymbal Mate that lets you remove a cymbal with a single touch instead of spinning (and dropping) a wingnut. The cymbal sleeve is reversible - if the top gets worn down over time, simply flip it over and it's like new.
