If ordered online, this drum will come with triple-flanged hoops. A die-cast hoop option is available but you must call us to make the order.
Ludwig Black Beauty Snare Drums are legendary, having been a fan favorite for what seems like forever. Making a seamless shell from a single sheet of beaded brass and giving it a black nickel finish is difficult, and they produce very limited numbers each year.
Brass produces a loud metallic attack, but it's far warmer and rounder than steel and more active than aluminum. The 8" depth of this model sounds great at lower tunings and can create an amazing amount of sound.
This drum comes equipped with classic Imperial lugs, triple-flanged hoops, and a P85 Supra-Phonic throw-off.
