The Meinl Marathon Classic Series Congas are mid-range instruments set at competitive prices, for the percussionist on a moderate budget. All Marathon congas come in three sizes: 11" Quinto, 11 3/4" Conga, and 12 1/2" Tumba. Each drum comes with a Steely II Conga Stand, a simple tripod basket stand with height adjustment.
Along with two ply rubber wood shells, these drums include True Skin Buffalo Heads for an authentic sound, 8mm tuning lugs to keep the heads tight under enormous pressure, and 2.6mm Safe & Sound Rims that keep your hands from hurting so much the next day. Black powder-coated hardware completes the professional-looking package, and conga saver lug protectors keep the shells from being scratched. An accessory pouch, a tuning key, and tune up oil are also included.
