The Encore Nanae Mimura Series NM2B hard marimba mallets feature a natural wool yarn that is highly durable and is very plush, eliminating much of the contact sound with the bars, resulting in lots of pure tone and resonance.
The NM2B use hard latex wrapped disk cores that, when combined with the yarn, give these mallets a two-tone quality, able to be soft and plush, and articulate and crisp depending on the situation. The NM2B use birch shafts for consistency and control, and are the hard mallet in the Nanae Mimura Series, making them a great choice for the top end of the marimba.
