Pearl Eliminator Redline Bass Drum Pedals retain the PowerShifter Eliminator's ability to switch out cams for completely different feels, while ramping up everything else to create one of the most souped up pedals in the world.
When you buy this double pedal you'll get eight interchangeable, color-coded cams (two of each color):
- Black Linear Action Cam - a steady feel throughout the stroke, on the heavy/powerful side
- White Oversized Linear Action Cam - a steady stroke like the black cam, but lighter and quicker in feel
- Blue Progressive Cam - begins medium-light in feel, gradually gets heavier throughout the stroke
- Red Radical Progressive Cam - begins feather light, quickly ramps up to very heavy mid-stroke
Two optional cams are available separately:
- Purple Aggressive Action Cam - begins light and ends quite heavy, a more linear and intense version of the blue cam
- Yellow Inverse Action Cam - begins light and actually gets lighter mid-stroke, becoming heavier again towards the end
These cams allow you to change up how the pedal feels to fit your personal playing style, or to match the style of music you're playing at any particular gig. It's like having 4, 5, or 6 pedals for the price of one.
This pedal features sprocket-less double chain drives that feel powerful and precise, enhanced by premium NiNja Bearings (used by pro skateboarders) that give you a fantastically smooth feel.
The footplates are equipped with reversible Traction Plate inserts that you can modify to give you as much, or as little, grip under your feet as you want. The footplates can be moved to three positions - called the PowerShifter - to give you a light, standard, or heavy feel.
The pedal springs feature a Click-Lock Spring Adjustment that locks your preferred tension settings into place with no creep mid-performance, and the Rotor Tension Cradles allow the springs to pivot with each stroke, reducing resistance.
The Uni-Lock Beater Cams grip the rotating bar from 360 degrees around, allowing you to adjust the angle of the beaters to virtually any degree. Floating Spring Pendulums give you full bearing movement and smooth performance.
The Zero Play Hinges prevent any unwanted motion between the heels and footplates, and the Control Core Quadbeater heads give you four different surfaces for different sounds, all with elastomer centers to get rid of vibration.
The Roller Hoop Clamps firmly attach this pedal to a huge range of bass hoop thicknesses, and the tightening wing nuts are located off to the side so you can mess with them without getting off your throne.
