The Pearl 16" x 14" PBDM Championship Maple Marching Bass Drum is made with 6 plies of 100% maple, providing you with a rich low sound, a focused fundamental, and plenty of strength to handle high tensions and the rigors of the road.
Angle-cut bearing edges enhance the amount of resonance the head and drum can produce, giving you longer and fuller sounds out of the bass line.
2" wide, 6-ply maple hoops (with a high gloss finish) are absolutely strong enough to handle the high tensions found on a marching bass drum, supplemented with oversized triple-reinforced claws that can be cranked higher than any drum corps requires.
Lightweight single-piece aluminum
lug casings keep the weight of the drum low, while 6mm case-hardened tension bolts apply a huge amount of pressure without slipping or breaking.
Six air vents have been acoustically located along the shell to allow air to escape with each hit, creating a great amount of response and low, punchy projection.
Pearl provides you with a 3-year warranty on the shells, giving you multiple marching seasons without worrying about your equipment.
The Piano Black Lacquer finish on this drum matches the finish on CarbonCore snares and tenors. Please note - this is not a CarbonCore drum, it only looks like one.
