The Remo 10" Key-Tuned Samba Choro Pandeiro is made with samba and chorinho rhythms in mind, also working particularly well with samba funk and samba reggae. It's lightweight compared to similarly designed pandeiros, weighing in at only 530 grams to prevent your hands from tiring.
The Skyndeep Graphic head looks like natural goatskin, and the Ultratac technology added to the head makes it feel like the real deal as well. This head easily creates boomy bass tones and bends pitch with just a touch. The included adhesive O-ring can be attached to reduce unwanted high overtones.
The Samba Choro Pandeiro features five sets of triple chrome-plated stainless steel jingles that are bright and crisp, adding a little less mass to the instrument than the Choro model.
The shell is made from Acousticon (100% recycled wood fiber), finished with an elegant stained antique wood grain veneer.
The Samba Choro Pandeiro is specifically designed to remain low in tension. It is not recommended that you tighten the head much farther above the point where you get a clear pitch. Replacement heads are available.
