The Pearl Travel Congas leave nothing to the imagination and are exactly that: an instrument that delivers real conga sound from a truly compact 3.5" deep shell.
Making no sacrifices for the smaller form, Pearl uses construction that is identical to their full sized congas for the shell and stave. Out of the box the Travel Congas are outfitted with Remo FiberSkyn 3 drum heads for outstanding tone and resistance to temperature changes for consistent tuning.
Speaking of tuning, the Travel Congas are also built with five Allen bolt tension rods for precise tuning. A foam-handle Allen wrench is included with each conga.
The Pearl Travel Congas are available in three traditional congas sizes: 11" Quinto, 11.75" Conga, and 12.5" Tumba. This particular model, the PTC1100N is the 11" Quinto size.
