The Black Swamp RecPlate Multi-Percussion MultiPlate might have a hard time getting through customs, but otherwise it's a very slick piece of gear that makes the life of a gigging multi-percussionist much easier, saving tons of room on valuable trap table space.
This mount attaches to any cymbal arm via the holes you can see near just north/south of the center. The RecPlate is capable of holding large, heavy instruments, and in that case you can mount it between two cymbal stands by using the holes on the far edges.
The side with mushroom-shaped slots is made to hold anything that is suspended with string or rope, like gongs, chime tubes, rattles, finger cymbals or anything else! Have a part that calls for small gong and a chime note? All you need is this mount and two cymbal stands.
Directly behind the mushroom slots you'll see two long, flat slots. These are designed to hold almglocken and other instruments with handles, when used in combination with the included Velcro strapping.
The opposite side that looks a little bit like a sawblade actually holds multiple triangles by hanging the four included Triangle Suspension Lines from the tiny slots. Alternatively, you can also hang a single triangle from two points (with a side facing the ceiling) to use two beaters on rhythmically challenging passages.
The sawblade side is also able to hold any of your Black Swamp Spectrum triangle beaters, giving you even more room on your trap table for other things. The small circular slots on the far edges have the same purpose.
In the middle you can see two wide, long slots with circular centers - these will hold the two included 3/8" knurled posts that you can use to mount any instrument that has a corresponding bracket, like cowbells or wood blocks! All adjustable to fit where you need them.
This entire package fits inside the handy-dandy bag to keep everything organized. To reiterate, with this package you'll get:
- the RecPlate itself
- four Triangle Suspension Lines
- Velcro strapping
- two 3/8" knurled posts
- a bag to hold it all
