Meinl Ornamental Singing Bowls are cast in India from brass alloy, producing a mellow bell-like tone that resonates for a very long time. With practice, the included mallet can be rubbed along the outer edge of the rim to keep it ringing perpetually.
The outside of the bowl has been finished with a hand-painted motif, giving it an exotic and luxurious look. When you're using it the bowl sits atop a cushion, and when stored away it goes inside a box - both feature matching designs to complement the motif.
This bowl is approximately 400 grams and 4.13" in diameter (no two bowls are exactly the same) and will help create a serene, meditative atmosphere in any yoga studio or zen space. Of course, it also works fine for musical compositions that need a singing bowl.
