The Meinl Singing Bowl Resonant Mallets are designed to create the singing sound without striking the bowl by rubbing it gently around the outside border of the singing bowl. The can come with or without a thin leather coating to minimize contact sound.
This model has a layer of leather to gently coax out the relaxing, singing sound that the bowls are known for.
