The Gibraltar Flex Multi-Clamp makes drummers' lives a little easier. When adjusting a regular old multi-clamp, you have to use two hands: one to loosen/tighten the wing nut, and the other to keep the components from falling out of place. The Flex Multi-Clamp only needs one hand.
The design feature that separates this clamp from everything else is that thin ribbon of material between the two smaller brackets. As long as one side of the clamp is closed, that ribbon will keep the other clamp firmly in place even when you loosen its wing nut.
You can then let go of the loosened wing nut (without having anything fall down) and use one hand to squeeze the ribbon to open up that side of the clamp - just make sure your other hand is in place to hold whatever you're clamping together.
This multi-clamp solves one small but significantly annoying part of setting up your percussion equipment.
