The Grover Pro 10" Spanish Silver Tambourine replicates the sound of authentic vintage instruments from Spain and travelling Gypsy troupes, featuring 12 pairs of fluted (crimped) nickel silver jingles that are grittier and crunchier than their other jingle types.
Instead of individual jingle slots, the solid ash shell on the Spanish Silver model includes three wide channels holding four jingle pairs each, creating intentionally "open" shake rolls.
The natural skin head is also different from the norm; it's thicker and more textured, helping to dry up the resonance and to make finger rolls especially easy.
