Mainstream Mallets by Jason Hammond-Wood is a compilation of sheet music designed for mid-level keyboard players, all taken from familiar repertoire. Each of the 24 short 2-mallet solos can be performed on xylophone, vibraphone, or marimba, and they all have optional piano accompaniment as well, including recordings of the accompaniment tracks.
Not only does this book come with solos, but two of them can also be performed as duets, which can be a good introduction to the world of chamber music for middle school percussionists!
