Tapspace Scuttlebutt by Jim Casella

Scuttlebutt by Jim Casella is another groove-based piece written for younger players, composed for instruments that are typically found in any band hall.

A halftime snare backbeat keeps the pulse moving while other players syncopate around it in 16th and triplet patterns that intentionally mimic electronic and dubstep dance music.

This piece will help students focus on ensemble awareness, layering in parts so everybody can clearly hear what's going on around them.
