Tentacles by John Willmarth depicts the creepy, crawly, suction-cupped appendages of sea creatures like the octopus and squid, brought to life by the performance of 6-10 young percussionists.
This piece starts and finishes with keyboard instruments while the center focuses on non-pitched instruments, giving players a chance to tackle both worlds. Four of the parts are optional, making it flexible for groups with fewer kids or not as much equipment.
Tentacles ships as a professionally spiral-bound score with a CD containing individual parts in PDF format.
