Schnabel by Robert Sanderl is an energetic work for rudimental snare drum and trio percussion accompaniment. This piece bridges the gap between Swiss Basel-style drumming and contemporary percussion ensemble.
The result is a challenging, and musically interesting, piece of music that will add to any percussion ensemble program. This work is challenging for all players, both from a technical perspective and a musical one, as creating a convincing blend between the snare drum lines and the other instruments is a must.
