Crystals by Thomas R. Marceau is a rhythmically complex, but melodically simple, piece for keyboard percussion quartet that gives mallet-focused students a chance to focus on their rhythms and drum-focused students to get used to playing keyboards.
Rhythms are intertwined and challenging, with only a few select pitches, to make sure the piece is an opportunity for students to grow as musicians while also maintaining musical interest throughout!
