Scott Fairdosi's Deleclusiastics is a rudimental homage to French composer Jacques Delécluse. Using themes from the first étude from Delécluse's Douze Études as a starting point, Fairdosi interweaves these themes with difficult rudimental figures to blur the line between the rudimental and concert styles.
Deleclusiastics presents a real challenge for the performer, asking them to switch gears on a dime, but is sure to inspire audiences of drummers and non-drummers alike. This piece also presents a great opportunity to introduce more rudimentally-minded drummers to the concert style, and vice-versa.
